The Lakelands Family Health Team Doctor Recruitment Program offers medical students/doctors a Township Recruitment Grant. Payments are in five instalments in return for a five-year commitment to full-time community service. Plus, for those who qualify, Canada Student Loan forgiveness and a Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Grant.

In the Blended Salary Model, physicians receive a salary based on the number of enrolled patients, plus benefits and bonuses. All expenses, including human resources and overhead, are covered by the Family Health Team.
